Back East, I'd Be a Princess...

"Are you Italian?" Asked the Installation Tech for our new satellite, as he was filling out ppwk in our kitchen.
Me: "I'm not really sure what I am," Hispanic meets a German, who then meets an English bloke who may or may not have met an Indian princess back in the day.
Tech: You look very Italian, your eyes and your features, back east you'd be a princess!
Me thinking: Hmmmm.....very sweet - noted though, the coke bottle glasses adorning his face - eh, who cares. I'm a girl and I love a compliment. Even if someone tells me I'd be a princess if I lived in Jersey. I'll take it :-)
And then I caught this on SNL. Although, she is a (queen) not a princess...

Hello? A great song by Lionel Richie

And the topic of my newest post.  It's only been about a year and a half.  Does anybody out there blog anymore these days?  I just got a brand new laptop, and I'm so overwhelmed and thrilled at the same time.  I don't even know what it's like to have my own computer, much less my very own portable portal to the World Wide Web.
Between watching parakeet YouTube videos with Rambo and deciding whether I want Bing or Google as my search engine, it's been a very very busy day. NOT....but it's been great.  I have much updating to do on this thing, and I have yet to really decide exactly what it is I will be writing about.
When I first started this blog, it was sort of a therapeutic way to get through all that was going on in my life.  Raising my daughter, changing careers, going through a divorce, moving, moving, and moving yet again.  Probably for the first time in a long time, life is quiet, life is so good, and we are just enjoying the gifts that the good Lord has given us.   Tonight, I enjoyed watching sweet Naomi decorate her gingerbread house.  One of favorite Holiday traditions.  We were short on candies, so she broke open a bag of shelled peanuts for the roof.  Too cute.
Love to all, and now that I'm mobile - there will be more blogging and writing in my future.  Good stuff. Until Next time ~
